Fix-It Lab

In this academic design studio, our class was challenged to find a system within the Portland Metro Area in which we could insert a new service for the city. I decided to explore a mobile maker and fixer's space that could visit public schools within the metro area to teach hard skills in building and mechanical applications. 

  • The system needs to be mobile and temporary

  • Find an existing outlet within the city where the mobile system could "plugin"

  • Consider scalability

  • Pose a thesis in a "What if..." format.
